History Sites: Aug 17/18

 

Shawshank Reunion will dominate downtown this weekend, but there are other options all over the county.

REACH (Richland Early American Center for History) will be open at the Blockhouse in South Park, Mansfield on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17/18 from 1pm to 3pm

Oak Hill Cottage: Afternoon Tea for boys and girls with activities, photo parlor and more; Saturday, Aug 17, at 1pm. Free for children and their parents or guardian. Regular Sunday docent guided tours continue April thru December, 2-5pm $5/$1.

Richland County Museum in Lexington: Sunday 1:30-4pm.

Shelby Museum: Sunday, 2 – 5pm.

The Shiloh Museum is open this Sunday, Aug. 18th, from 1 – 3pm

Plymouth Museum: Saturday 10am-4pm.

Mansfield Fire Museum: Saturday and Sunday 1-4pm.

Mansfield Memorial Museum: Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 12-4 with “The Brewers and Bottlers of Mansfield” exhibit this summer and “Elektro” on permanent display.

Malabar Big House tours: Noon, 2pm, and 4pm daily and 10am, Noon, 2pm, 4pm on Saturdays. $5/$3
